How do materials come to life? Designing future materials

17.00–20.00
Helsinki Central Library Oodi, children’s area (3rd floor)
Töölönlahdenkatu 4
The capacity of the event venue is 150 people

Discover the fascinating world of life-inspired materials! Life-inspired materials take inspiration from nature, living organisms and biological processes. At the event, you will learn, for example, how proteins act as the building blocks of life, how chemical gradients can create movement, and how physics helps us understand the behaviour of bacteria. Through hands-on experiments and demonstrations, you’ll discover what materials science is all about.

You can drop in at any time during the event. The workshop is suitable for all ages.

Organiser: LIBER – Centre of Excellence in Life Inspired Hybrid Materials
