Palestinian refugeehood, rooted in the 1948 Nakba, is one of the world’s longest unresolved displacement situations. What rights do Palestinian refugees have, and why have these rights not been realised? PhD researcher Majed Abusalama (Tampere University) and professor Hannu Juusola (University of Helsinki) discuss the right of return, refugee protection, UNRWA and Finland’s role. The discussion is moderated by Middle East specialist Jasmin Paananen.
Organiser: Sumud – the Finnish Palestine Network
